The Atto HTML editor will automatically save your text as you type, keeping your content secure before you publish it. Learn more

'Like' button
This popular feature can now be implemented as a single-item scale, bringing the functionality of social media right inside Moodle. Learn more about scales here.

With this new feature you can send yourself an email with an attachment and it will save to your private files for later use in your courses.

Improved Grader report
.Many improvements have been made to the gradebook, with the grader report now functional across all devices with smooth scrolling. Cells can be quickly edited without reloading.

A new Single view allows you to make quick edits to one item or one user.

Improved Quiz edit screen and completion settings
The Edit quiz page has been rewritten for improved accessibility, making it much easier to add and manage questions. You can also set completion conditions based on a passing grade or when all available attempts have been used up.

You can now allow users to select more than one choice when creating a Choice.

A long term support release
Moodle 2.7 is a LTS release, meaning it will have an extended support of 3 years (until May 2017) for security and data-loss fixes, twice the time of other releases. This makes it an ideal, stable platform for long-term projects.

Improved logging for better reporting
A new logging subsystem with plugins allowing detailed and external logs provides opportunities for improved reporting as well as advancements in better learning analytics. Learn more

Improved Events system
Events have been improved all through Moodle, allowing you to better integrate your code with Moodle. A new dynamically-generated report listing all events and event details helps administrators, researchers and developers understand the system. Learn more

Log in with your email address
A new admin setting allows users to log in not only with their normal username but also with their email address.
