* This capability, together with the [[Capabilities/moodle/course:managefiles|manage files capability]], allows a user to access the [[Server files repository]]
* This allows a user to access the [[Server files repository]]
* This capability is allowed for the default roles of course creator, teacher, editing teacher and manager
* This capability is allowed for the default roles of manager, course creator, teacher and non-editing teacher
 
* The capability should be allowed together with the [[Capabilities/moodle/course:managefiles|manage files capability]] to enable users to access files used within a course
Note: The capabilities repository/local:view and moodle/course:managefiles have some functionality overlap.
