* This capability is available in Moodle 1.9.6 onwards. Prior to 1.9.6, the roll courses forward feature was controlled by the [[Capabilities/moodle/course:create|moodle/course:create]] capability.
* This allows a user to set a new course start date when [[Course restore|restoring a course]]
* The default administrator and course creator roles have this capability set to allow (the same as for moodle/course:create|moodle/course:create).
* This capability is allowed for the default roles of manager and course creator
