この活動は最も重要な活動です - ほとんどの議論がここで行われます。 フォーラムは異なる形に作成すること、それぞれの投稿に対して相互評価することができます。一般的に、フォーラムの投稿は、投稿後30分編集することができます。投稿は様々なフォーマットで閲覧することがで、ファイルを添付することもできます。フォーラムをメール購読することで、参加者は新しい投稿内容をメールで受信することができます。教師は、メール購読を全員対して強制することもできます。
フォーラムは、2つのメインカテゴリに分けられます:
- 総合フォーラム ( コースのセクション0に表示されます。)
- 学習フォーラム ( コースの一部として設定されるフォーラム: フォーラムが表示されるコースセクションに従って、整理および番号付けされます。).
フォーラムは、下記の見出しにより一覧表示されます:
- フォーラム ( フォーラム名 )

- ディスカッション ( 開始されたディスカッション数 )
- Unread posts (the number of posts you have not read yet)
- Track (the 'yes/no' information about your choice whether or not track the unread posts - if your choice is negative, you will find an '-' sign instead of the number of the posts unread)
- Subscribed (the 'yes/no' information about your choice whether or not get the posts transferred to your mail box)
- RSS (the 'RSS' (Really Simple Syndication) button - please refer to RSS in forums for additional information
