While the article talks about {param} it does not fully explain what that actually is in terms anyone who is not a programmer could understand. Is this a "wild card"? Or something different? A simple calculated question is not simple at all. Why does the question need a wild card? Why can a simple answer be entered? Or should there be another question type? Or should the author of a quiz wanting numerical answers, use a different question type? --Colin Fraser (talk) 19:30, 8 February 2016 (AWST)
