Screencasts are ways to present instructional material, usually through a series of pictures with an audio track.


Screencasts are ways to present material. Usually they are a series of screen captures of a computer screen with a audio track.  These are often used to present small lessons.

Screencasts use the [[Multimedia plugins|multimedia capabilities]] in Moodle. They can be embedded in most Moodle pages that have the [[HTML editor]]. A screencast might use a [[Flash|flash]] (.swf) file.   


They can also be embedded in a Moodle page.  You may find links to screencasts at the bottom of many MoodleDoc pages with external links to screencasts at uTube or other places.
