Preparing your Moodle environment

On Settings > Site administration > Advanced features: Tick the Enable web services checkbox (and click Save changes)

On Site administration > Plugins > Web services > Mobile: Tick the Enable web services for mobile devices checkbox (and click Save changes) Ticking the first box above should enable this also, but doesn't always.
