Course enrolment is the process where authenticated site users can join a course.

Enrolment methods

There are many methods to enrol students

  • Users may be allowed to enrol themselves into a course, either directly or by means of an enrolment key they have been given.
  • They may be manually enrolled by their teacher or
  • Enrolled by the administrator by uploading a file or other means
  • If allowed, a course can offer guest access to users who can then peruse the contents but not participate in any activities.
  • unenrolment can be controlled by the teacher or administrator.
  • Or users can unenrol themselves if allowed by the settings.

How users are enrolled depends on the enrolment methods used for that particular course. See the links on the right for more information about the possible options.
