When Moodle is installed, these standard roles are created automatically:
- Guest role
- Authenticated user role
- Student role
- Non-editing teacher role
- Teacher role
- Course creator role
- Manager role
- Administrator role
After installing Moodle, you can create new roles, and change the definition of existing roles, using the roles administration interface.
