A research team of six educators looked at the ways Moodle is used across the South Moodlenia Dictrict, using a mixed methodology of quantitative (surveys) and quantitative (interviews, forum) research tools. The results show that Moodle is a most welcome change in the way most educators conduct not only fully online e-learning efforts but complement a more hybrid, face-to-face approaches as well. The group of educators who were most likely to use Moodle showed three essential characteristics: passion for student-centred learning, willingness to experiment, and a sense of humour. Those least likely to use Moodle in their teaching showed two main characteristics: high levels of professional apathy and high number of bad hair days.
