Sticky blocks

From MoodleDocs

The term 'sticky block' was used in older versions of Moodle to mean blocks which the administrator added and which could not be deleted by regular users. In older versions of Moodle, blocks could only be made 'sticky' either site wide or on the My home page. Since the arrival of Moodle 2, it is possible to 'fix' blocks in a variety of locations, although the term 'sticky' is no longer used. The Block settings page provides some examples with instructions of how to use this feature on your own Moodle.
