Some suggestions for the Moodle course list (in the directory):

implement a search - we would need a directory classification system for Moodle courses. If I'm a student wanna learn a language, or math, a search based on the internal course information (name, description,...) seems a bit messy. I agree that it's impossible to cover all categories but maybe could we have some base categories.
maybe users could comment about Moodle courses and also rate them (information displayed close to the link)
an "avaibility" icon could be good. It would be close from a Moodle course link: green icon for "available", yellow "do not respond" red for "did not respond for a while". The community hub just needs to ping the servers time to times.
could display some kind of popularity information (how many participants)
