Depending upon the enrolment methods enabled by an administrator for the site (in Settings > Site administration > Plugins > Enrolments > Manage enrol plugins), some or all of the following enrolment methods may be used for enrolling users in the course:

  • Manual enrolment - Enables users to be enrolled manually in Settings > Course administration > Users > Enrolled users
  • Self enrolment - Enables users to enrol themselves in the course
  • Guest access - Allows users with the guest role to view the contents of a course
  • Cohort sync - Enables members of a cohort to be enrolled in a course (by an administrator or manager)
  • Course meta link - Enables users enrolled in another course to be enrolled in this course
