Moodle can run on several types of web servers. The web servers sometimes need to be adjusted to make Moodle run efficiently, this is not done through the Moodle interface. However, the Moodle site administrator has control of many settings that control how Moodle interacts with the web server.

The site administrator should review the Settings > Site administration settings. There are Location, Security, and Server links that control Moodle's interaction with their web server.

Moodle Docs offers many pages to assist both the experienced and the new user who is tasked with being non only a Moodle site administrator but managing the web server.
