Referrals allow lists of students to be sent to people responsible for supporting students in need of extra support (study skills support department, careers department etc.).

The first step is to create the referrals; this is done by a manager viewing a review on the front page then clicking on the 'referrals' tab. At the top of the page is a list of existing referrals with edit and delete links for any not in use (referrals that are in use by any review cannot be changed) and a form to add a new referral. It should be ronseal, just give it a name and select hte person to whom the list should be emailed when the review is closed.

Next the referrals must be attached to reviews, this is done by a manager through the standard configuration form, simply by ticking the appropriate boxes. Referrals must be enabled on the parent review to be used by a child review.

The referrals will now show as options on the tutor review form, again ronseal- just tick where appropriate.

When a parent review closes, it will check all of it's children for referrals. Lists of students will be compiled for each referral and emailed to the person selected.
