The termreview module contains support for parents evening bookings. In order to use this feature you must first enable it in the site-wide termreview settings.

Once it is enabled, a review manager can view a front page review and select the 'Parents Evening Config' tab. As you have probably guessed, this enables the configuration of a parents evening; hopefully this is all ronseal.

By creating a parents evening, you will publish to anyone, without any authentication, lists of all users with mod/termreview:write in any context. Make sure that any students assigned as teachers in student council pages etc have this capability overridden.

Once a parents evening has been created, there are 3 different views that will be shown on parentseveschedule.php depending on the viewing user's permissions: managers get a copy of all teachers (all users with mod/termreview:write) schedules, teachers get a copy of their own schedule and everyone else (even unauthenticated users, even if guest access is not allowed) gets a page that enables them to book appointments. There is no authentication of the student name that is given by anyone booking appointments as this would involve giving away data about students to unauthenticated users.
