Does anyone know what the deal is on non-alphanumeric characters in passwords? According to one Moodler (DS), he couldn't get Moodle to connect to his database until he used a database p/w with '''no''' non-alphanumeric characters. Is this intentional? Why?

Does anyone know what the deal is on non-alphanumeric characters in passwords?
