Chris,

Setting display_errors = On is not recommended for production servers. Would we be better placed to instruct users to set up system logs either by setting log_errors = /var/log/php-errors.log or to syslog depending on Operating System?

The problem is the 'depending on Operating System' bit. And actually, probably depending on how you installed PHP and which web server you are using on that operating system.--Tim Hunt 08:52, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
