:: I read everything and it is no doubt interesting but confusing for people who want to get a better understanding of Moodle. I think it serves a better purpose and will be easier to find if it where filed under a page that had a name where people might look for Design Goals for instance. I am sorry if I am a little negative :) the frustration of browsing these pages hasn't settled yet... ;)

How about:

It should have precisly defined interfaces? Things like XML web services where every XML data element has a precise definition.

Is this REALLY all architecture documentation that is available? Not very helpful for developers :(

Hi, you are welcome to contribute to the developer documentation to make it more helpful. --Helen Foster 02:37, 20 February 2006 (WST)

Page title

I think it's a little bit misleading with the title "Moodle architecture"... the content of this page is not what I really was expecting... thanks! - Wen Hao Chuang 15:30, 29 January 2007 (PST)

Hi, thanks for your comment. I've created a page Moodle design goals which redirects to Moodle architecture. --Helen Foster 08:05, 30 January 2007 (CST)

Change this please

  • This page has not changed for over 4 year with the exception of 1 single line.
  • It doesn't reflect an architecture.
  • Content should be moved to 'Moodle design goals' (which now redirects)
  • New content is needed to describe things such as:
    • Directory structure
    • General architecture of the system...maybe! (sarcasm :)
    • General datbase design

Just a thought, but the thing is I can't edit the content on this vital vital page that probably 80% of developers browse to for some understanding as they start out developing Moodle (like me!). This now stop them dead in their tracks and inhibits the quick introduction of developers to learn more.--Jeroen van den Eijkhof

This may not be what you expect to see on a page entitle "Moodle architecture" but I have always thought that was interesting in itself. Anyway, the content of this page was originally written by Martin D, and it is interesting to see his priorities.--Tim Hunt 07:08, 23 October 2010 (UTC)

I think it serves a better purpose and will be easier to find if it where filed under a page that had a name where people might look for Design Goals for instance.
