How to restrict teachers views

How do I restrict a teacher to view only information about the groups that they are in? Where do I see the rights for a teacher? Bee Bell August 2007

Category example

Hi Helen, I notice that this page has 1.8, 1.9, FAQ, Teacher and Group categories at the bottom. If I understand things, the Teacher category should not be there because it is located at the bottom of the Group category index. Is this what you mentioned to me earlier? New question added

I have just added a question to this page about students selecting their own groups. The answer I have given is accurate as far as I know. Please add/correct if it is wrong, I have searched the documentation and the forums. -Derek There is some comment http://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-13962 that it may be arriving in 2.0.
