Wiki format option?

I wonder whether it would not be possible to add an option of Wiki format among the formatting options. Here are some arguments in support of a Wiki format option:

  • Wiki is much simpler to learn than HTML, and easier to write;
  • The outline generated by Wiki header tags offers a simple way of highlighting the structure - and hence to facilitate the organization of complex and/or structured frameworks;
  • If Moodle Teachers and Learners cultivate our Wiki skills, that would tend to enhance our effectiveness in contributing to other Wiki spaces - including, but by no means limited to, the various Wikimedia sites;
  • Content from a Moodle site could be be more easily transferred to external Wiki sites.

Incidentally, I have just begun to use the Wiki module in Noodle (1.6.2) and as of yet, have not found a way of using Wiki format for the pages. Help would be welcome.
