Simple "how to" and extra information
This is a really comprehensive page about audio but it doesn't actually explain how to embed audio in Moodle - I would like to add this in a similar way to the Video page but I am afraid this page will become horrendously long. Is there a way to retain this useful technical audio editing information yet still have a simple page showing newbies how to display their mp3 files?--Mary Cooch 05:11, 22 August 2011 (WST)
- Well I think the simple stuff should be first, at the top of the page, then if the page becomes too long we can create an advanced audio page. --Helen Foster 15:52, 22 August 2011 (WST)
newbie non technical terms!
Hmmm...This page is quite rightly called audio but with my(non-technial) teacher/trainer hat on I will more than often say "sound file" because it sounds less technical. I have mixed and matched the two terms on this page and wonder if that was OK or if I should have stuck to one? The thing is..- if you were a non-techie searching the docs you'd be more than likely to look up "sound file" not "audio" Or even they might look up podcast... What about a page called sound or sound files that redirects to the audio page?
- Sound and Sound files redirects done! Thanks for your non-techie view point Mary :-) --Helen Foster 23:27, 28 August 2011 (WST)
Audio
Audio_in_Moodle - GU, Oct 10, very good, handy links, organise and clean up, check references to tools/plugins etc not supported or mentioned here, MP3_player - OU, Jul 09, handy although a bit long, re-organise & check for compatibility in Moodle 2 Speech_tools - Nov 08, looking at a title, I thought I was to do with Accessibility (as in Text-to-Speech & reverse)... consider renaming/redirecting and re-linking this Podcasting - GU, Dec 10, basics very useful, check those tools listed for availability & compatibility, 'Podcast' module is contrib, not sure if compatible with M2
