The purpose of this page is to provide links to different kinds of demonstration lessons. The link maybe to an actual online Moodle lesson and/or a backup file that can be restored to another Moodle.

The intent is to give a flavor of a kind of lesson or a lesson technique, rather than a whole lesson. Please see page comments for more guidelines.

Standard fomat for entry

  • Version: Created in Moodle version
  • Description:
  • Location backup file: external link if any
  • Location demo: external link if any

Overview lesson

The link below goes to a backup of a course that includes Lesson demonstration initally created for 1.4 but works in 1.7. it is 1.6 MB in size.

Download the features demo backup here. Lesson is in it's own section. You may see how it works as a student here.

After downloading this course, you should notice that there is a mistake in the lesson. It is carefully broken into parts with a branch table. However the second slide in is a start cluster page with a random jump associated with it. This makes a confusing presentation to a student.

Lesson demo.moodle

This course contains a lesson demo without that error. Plus you can enter into the course as a student, teacher or administrator. The 6.1 Mg backup of this demo.moodle course is here. You will have to log in as administrator to get to the site files.
