| To access an activity report, log in as a teacher or administrator. Then, select the course you would like the activity report for. From this page, you can select the link "Full report of recent activity..." in the "recent activity" box. This will bring you to a report. To refine the report, click "Advanced search". Note that this is a link, not a button. From here, you can select who you want a report on, which activities, which groups, and how far back to search. You can also select how to sort the results. For example, to generate a report about assignments from Colin Jones, dating back to the beginning of the course, select "Colin Jones" under "Participants", "All assignments" under "Activities", and "All days" under "Since", then click "Show recent activity". This is a button. This will generate a report grouped by topic.

To access an activity report:

- Select a course to generate a report on
- Go to the "Administration" box on the left side of the page
- Select "Reports"
- On the new screen, select "Activity report". It will be approximately in the middle of the screen.
- You will have an activity report sorted by topic
