Note to file for somebody's "round to it" list. The template {{Themes}} subjects are inconsistent in their content. Nothing on a theme's config.php settings. Nothing about how /pix work. There are references to 1.5.4 ! Nothing about the "new" theme format which I think was introduced in 1.8. Sigh.

For example, I know that in 1.9.x, the theme can determine the default user pictures f1 & f2. The chameleon theme will change the smiling moodle cake to an silhouette when a user has not uploaded a picture. I know this is located in the moodle/theme/pix/u folder. Apparently when the theme config.php setting has $THEME->custompix = true; then the default is in the moodle/pix/u folder. Thus the theme selection can automatically switch a users picture, which could impacts all the new contexts. Where is this explained? Perhaps Theme Reference, well that has a lot of blank headings and nothing about pix or config.

Yes, I know if I raise the issue then I should do something about it :) I think we can forget about all 1.5 to 1.7 (bury the info someplace) theme info and figure out how to talk about 1.9 themes. That is a project.--Chris collman 07:30, 21 November 2008 (CST)
