There's a good PDF document linked on the page.  I've discovered that the Upload Attachment box does not appear for Workshop Submissions in Mozilla Firefox.  If your workshop requires an uploaded file, student must use Internet Explorer.  Hopefully this will be fixed in the next version.

Looks to me [[Assignment module]], [[Exercise module]] and [[Workshop module]] are similar.  [[Talk:Exercise module]] asks 3 questions. Would somebody try to help me by trying to answer one or more of them (I am lazy):).  I ran across a help file that said Exercise would be merged with Workshop that started me on the road to confuzzled. ==Proposal for Workshop and Assignment pages==
I believe that MoodleDocs should provide more information about the Workshop Module.  I understand it will probably be consolidated with Assignment in a future version of Moodle.  I can see 2 options, in addition to the "do not do anything" option.  The development team has spent a great deal of time in writing detailed help screens for the Workshop module. 
 
===Expand number of links on Workshop page===
This is a MoodleDoc technique that is used when there is a lot of information that can relate to a subject.  The initial [[Teacher documentation]] or [[Administrator documentation]] pages show different examples of this technique.
 
For example, we could add some words but have links to existing help pages. This would allow a generic presentation of the Workshop module, with the details controlled by the development team as the Workshop and Assignment modules are consolidated.  The Workshop module page could be broken down with sub headings instead of the pages listed below.
 
This is a good first step in my opinion.  It is always easier to split out more information into separate pages later when the entire subject has been organized on first on a single page.  Additionally, if the subject is going to become a part of something else then a jump to add pages could tend to confuse things later (ie Assignment has self and peer assessment features added, then a page of Workshop assessment becomes sort of redundant.

I don't use Workshop. I have read all the help screens in setup on demo.moodle.org (1.8.2+).  Here is the way I would organize this subject if I used separate <nowiki>[[pages]]</nowiki> in MoodleDocs.
*<nowiki>[[Workshop grades]]</nowiki> grading options for content and assessments
*<nowiki>[[Workshop assessments]]</nowiki> a matrix that covers teacher, self and peer
*<nowiki>[[Workshop dates]]</nowiki> Explain the date triggers in the activity settings area
*<nowiki>[[Workshop lists]]</nowiki> The League feature, maybe reports as well
*<nowiki>[[Workshop for Exercise users]]</nowiki> The settings to get the Exercise module effect
*<nowiki>[[Add/Edit Workshop]]</nowiki> tradition name for settings page.
 
The current Workshop module page would be an overview using page links to expand upon sub heading topic.
A template menu box for Workshop could be created and added to every page in the Workshop category.
