-Though I am most of the time all for going with the general UI standards, I am not sure if this being nonstandard is such a big issue, since the current nonstandard element affords/communicates well exactly what it is meant for. Making the table standard in the question bank window is a problem, since, well, it is not really a table structure from the point of view of the user, but a list with some controls, and question type for instance is not a column of its own. And it cannot be, since there is no room for an extra column. So if you make the table sortable in the actual question bank, you will have inconsistency between the actual question bank and the question bank window of quiz. --Olli Savolainen 08:38, 9 December 2008 (CST)

I want to go with 'click on the column headings' because, although this is not a standard table, neither is, say, an email in-box. But this UI convention is used happily there.--Tim Hunt 03:09, 13 January 2009 (CST)

searching means random picking the tagged questions?

Tim,

from the roadmap I can't get clear whether the tagging of the questions is for searching and sorting the questions for the teacher who wants to edit the test, or the tagging means that I can compose a test and point to certain amounts of questions having a certain tag.

random questions based on tags is not something I am planning to implement for Moodle 2.0, but clearly it becomes possible to implement something like that in the future.--Tim Hunt 10:46, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
