A user group is made up of members who share a common interest, usually about a software product, in this case Moodle. User groups sometimes sponsor workshops and other activities for members and non-members (MoodleMoots) that can be listed here at moodle.org Conference Center or [here at moodlemoot.org] .
Australian User Groups
Perth
The Perth MUG is called Moodlers WA and meets regularly throughout the year. Check out the Ozmug site for more details.
Sydney
A Sydney Moodle User Group meets the first Thursday of each month at a different Moodle-using organisation. Visit the MUG Website and contact Jason Hando if you are interested in attending.
South Australia
The South Australia Moodle User Group holds regular meetings online and face to face. Visit Moodle User Group SA to sign up and keep an eye out for our hash tag #mugsa.
UK Moodle user groups
Scottish
A user group for Scottish Moodle users (or those interested in becoming users) in further and higher education, organised by the two JISC Regional Support Centres for Scotland.

United States user groups
Several people in imoot 2010 mentioned local user groups in the United States.
New Hampshire
There are many de facto user groups organized at the K-12 school, school district and regional associations (Professional Development Centers) which maintain Moodle sites and offer instruction to teachers. There are no user groups for users outside of the K-12 context. See page comments.
