I am getting the same error while trying to create a new weblink in 2.0. Any ideas?
I figured out my own sleepwalking mistake. In my case, I was (don't ask me why) putting the hyperlink in the description instead of pasting the URL into the URL field where it belongs!
--NEVERMIND! Me, too. While trying to create a new weblink in 2.0 from one course to another course in the same Moodle install. Both course are open and have enrollments and are accessible to students. I'm getting this error message.--
