Extaction of moodle files

When you extract the moodle files into the htdocs folder it does indeed create a moodle folder. However you seem to have to go to

http:\\localhost\moodle\moodle

to get the install.php to work (it says http:\\localhost\moodle in the guide)

I downloaded and installed the XAMPP package to my computer and actually got it working without any instructions. Problem is, now that I read the instructions, I wonder what on earth these instructions are for because the installation process looked virtually nothing like these instructions describe it. --N Hansen 10:45, 4 May 2006 (WST)
