The description here is from the systems administrator perspective and this should be noted when planning "course rollover processes" for your system.

If a user in the role of "teacher" attempts a course restore, the user does NOT have the options (currently) of:
1) renaming the course,
2) resetting the course start date, or
3) restoring to another course shell

All they can do is to restore over an existing course shell
a) Existing course, adding data to it, OR
b) Existing course, deleting it first
that they have teacher role permissions for.
