Talk:PHP settings by Moodle version
I've tried for months now to get Moodle to work. All my PHP.ini setting should be correct according to http://web25.server6.devteam.dk/phpinfo.php, PEAR is installed and validated as working according to http://web25.server6.devteam.dk/pear_test.php, and tables are created in PostgreSQL. When doing the install everything is written in green, but when I hit the http://web25.server6.devteam.dk/moodle/user/editadvanced.php?id=2 page all I get is a blank page. Why?!? I thought installing Moodle would be easy but it has greatly dissapointed me. Installing phpBB was merely uploading the files, setting correct properties on certain folders, and everything worked. There has been nothing but dissapointment with Moodle. The webserver is running PHP 5.2.6-3 with a PostgreSQL 8.2.6 database on Apache 2.0 with Linux.
- Installing Moodle normally is easy. Have a look at the instructions in Debugging about enabling debugging in config.php. That should give you an error message, rather than a blank page. Also, you would probably get more help posting in the installation problems forum: http://moodle.org/mod/forum/view.php?id=28 rather than here.--Tim Hunt 17:36, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
