This page should explain what can be seen on the moodlesite.com/course/mod.php page when adding a resource of the file (link to a file or web site) type

A new user doing a search on different ways to link might end up here. Ran into a user who said they searched MoodleDocs. They were looking for HTML embedded linking help. They wanted to create a resource that linked to a quiz. I will continue my search using "Link" & "Linking" and HTML linking etc. Before I do an edit or put in a few See Also on various pages. --Chris collman 07:54, 12 October 2006 (CDT)

NB May 28, 2009; I feel the description of how to add a web link leaves out certain details that are pertinent for the completion of this process. When I was taking the course, it did not direct the student to click on the “icon” insert Web link. I had to post a question to a forum to obtain this information.

12feb2010 - I would like to ask my administrator to make MORE parameters available to the querystring in a link. Is this possible?

File upload in Moodle 2.0

See I don't understand display options for uploaded file for a thorough explanation by Davo Smith. This documentation should find a permanent place somewhere ;-) --Frank Ralf 06:46, 1 June 2010 (UTC)

Thanks Frank, I've copied Davo's explanation to mod/file/mod (page yet to be given a good name). --Helen Foster 12:06, 1 June 2010 (UTC)
