Under "Creating a course" I am frustrated by the statement, "The "Add a new course" button may be found at the bottom of the page listing all courses."

I am frustrated by this first of all because I have created several users and assigned them with the Course Creator role at the level of course categories. When I log in as these users and view courses within the categories, there is no such link. Secondly, I am annoyed by "may be found" which implies "may not be found." Could we have a little more precision here?

Update to this comment:

After logging in as admin and creating one course in one of these course categories, then logging out and logging back in as a course creator, the "Add a new course" did indeed, appear. So, is the key for the administrator to create at least one course to "prime the pump" as it were?

Hi Joe, thanks for your comments. The statement about the "Add a new course" button should of course be "...can be found...". I've added a note about assigning users in the course category context. --Helen Foster 11:23, 26 November 2007 (CST)
"Note: If a user is assigned the role of course creator in the course category context, the "Add a new course" button only appears when the course category contains at least one course." - this seems more as a bug than the feature to be documented --David Mudrak 09:45, 1 March 2009 (CST)
It is most certainly a bug! But does it happen in the latest 1.9.4? If it does, please file a bug in the http://tracker.moodle.org/ and assign it to me.--Tim Hunt 19:30, 1 March 2009 (CST)
