Page rename request

Admin is techie lingo and has been phased out by Moodle 1.8 :) Can we rename this page Assign administrator or Assign administrators

If things don't relink, I will go back later and fix those below:

The following pages link to here:

   * admin/admin (redirect page)
         o MoodleDocs:Link pages
   * Primary Administrator
   * Users
   * Administrator documentation

Thanks --Chris collman 15:52, 21 March 2007 (CDT)

Hi Chris, where did you hear that the word admin has been phased out in Moodle 1.8? I didn't hear anything ;-) --Helen Foster 17:38, 21 March 2007 (CDT)
I looked in Roles and Site settings and didn't see it. Of course so I would not violate Guy Rule #2, I did not blow off the MoodleDust from a 1.5 localhost, thus phased out might be a small fudge on my part :)--Chris collman 21:20, 23 March 2007 (CDT)
Hi Chris, as requested the page Assign admins has been renamed as Assign administrators. This has resulted in the duplicate Assign administrators page being deleted. Please note that it's better to rename pages and keep their history, than create new pages with slightly different names. If I'm slow in responding to a page rename request, please send me a Moodle message as a reminder ;-) --Helen Foster 08:12, 27 September 2007 (CDT)
Hi Helen, I know I create a mountain of dust for you and that you have your own cycles of doing things. Re the page creation and rename request, I see the issue and I apologize for any extra work that caused you. I still remember what happens when I rename a file in C/PM, I will try to improve. Is this now "Manager" in 2.0

Is this now "Manager" in 2.0? I'm new to moodle and trying to understand and learn about roles. Thanks!

Hi Felicia, in Moodle 2.0 there is a site administrator role which cannot be edited (or deleted!) and a new default manager role with fewer capabilities than a site administrator. You can check out the manager role for yourself on our Moodle QA Testing site. --Helen Foster 12:32, 8 October 2010 (UTC)
