Talk:Adding a branch table
Need for page on branches
I would like to separate out the discussion of branches from Branch Table pages. In part because I am having trouble with what I call classic branches (similar to clusters) and simple branches. In my mind, a classic branch is a group of pages that uses an End of Branch, a simple branch is a group of pages (in the teacher's mind) that does not use an End of Branch.
I am totally confused by a classic branch. I am suspecting that it is similar to a cluster. Strange things can happen when an End of Branch page is added to the logical order. There is no methodical description. Here are some examples:
How to turn a simple branch, into a classic branch that will select an unseen question.
- B1, Q1, Q2, Q3, Q5, Q4, Q6, B2
- B1, Q1, Q2, Q3, Q5, Q4, Q6, EB1, B2
How to turn a simple branch, into a classic branch that will select an random Branch Table page.
- B1, B2, B3, B5, B4, B6, B7
- B1, B2, B3, B5, B4, B6, EB1, B7
But what about when B1 jumps to a random Branch Table, and B2 jumps to an unseen question?
- B1, B2, Q1, Q2, B3, B5, B4, B6, EB1, B7
We need the Branch structures page or perhaps just the simple [[Branches]] page --Chris collman 07:59, 19 December 2007 (CST)
