Thanks to Moodle Themes Manager, Urs Hunkler, for styling Moodle Docs. Effective styling may contribute significantly to a good user experience.

Skins

  • Moodle Docs has a default MoodleDocs skin so it integrates visually with moodle.org.
  • Moodle Docs should have alternative skins, which may be preferable for particular users for reasons of accessibility. These skins may be previewed and chosen on the preferences page.

Key pages

The following key pages should be styled to encourage users to explore further:

Templates

Area styling

  • The four main areas - About Moodle, Teacher documentation, Administrator documentation and Developer documentation - should be styled so that if a particular page is accessed via a search, then it is clear which area it belongs to.

Signals

Please note: (2006-02-19) Please change the date and the colour when you change a note on a page.

"Notes" are used for user information and they are basically yellow. When a note is present for a longer time on a page we start to ignore it. We risk to ignore new information. To get around this fact please add the date of writing to the note. Additional please change the colour: class="note green" or class="note orange".
