What GUI / IDE integrations are available?  As I currently use the free Foundation version of SmartCVS (http://www.syntevo.com/smartcvs/index.html) but the same company do not produce a free version of the sister project SmartGit (http://www.syntevo.com/smartgit/index.html).  And a quick browse on the web (http://kylecordes.com/2010/git-gui-client-windows) reveals not many GUI's / IDE integrations.

regarding translators

I don't necessarily see a need to force translators to use git (or keep a cvs->git direction to the git/cvs mirror either). Why can't lang/ stay in cvs until much later than moodle/ ?
