Mail module
The Mail module is a contrib tool available in SourceForge. It was developed by at Sadiel S.A., a moodle partner in Spain.
The Mail module is similar in functionality to the Dialogue module, with one notable advantage that it allows the sending of a message to multiple users simultaneously.
Mail has a simple interface consisting of an inbox tab, an outbox tab and a compose tab. The Moodle HTML editor is not used when composing a message. The sender can select the addressees from a list of users in the course. More than one adressee can be selected. The messages are course internal, i.e. they are sent only between the course users and remain in the course. Notification of new messages can be sent to the users' outside e-mail addresses though.
When adding the Mail tool to a course, the teacher can set an expiration period for old messages.
The Mail module is compatible with Moodle 1.5.x and 1.6.x.
