==Proposed notes for the next developer conference==
*[[Developer conference February 2006|February 2006 conference notes]]

This wiki is for developers to make suggestions about things to talk about during the next developers conference which we want to schedule sometime soon! Once developers have added their notes to it, Martin D can go through and make an agenda with time constraints so that we can get through all of it.
==Forthcoming developer conference==

''The cut-off time for developers to add notes to this wiki is December 31, 2005''
*The next developer conference will be held in May 2006 at a sociable hour for developers in New Zealand and the USA.
Please add suggestions about things to talk about below:

* '''Moodle Metadata''' - One definitive plan to implement metadata at course and activity level in Moodle, editing, searching, taxonomies, metadata format, db structure, integration with backups and "moodlets"...

* '''Moodle 1.6 Requirements''' - Talk about them, define them and build a compressive system to check them from any Moodle installation.

* '''Moodle SOAP Services''' - Define one central method (soaplib.class.php) to work with SOAP services from Moodle. Incompatibilities between PHP5 internal SOAP libs and nusoap (currently being used by quiz and lams code "anarchically"!).

* '''MoodleResourceAutoContained''' - In order to be able to package individual resources a new resource type could be created. Really similar to the file resource but forcing moddlers to store all the needed files under its proper moddata dir.

* '''Contributions HOWTO''' - Some sort of guidelines to clarify how contributions are accepted, ways to collaborate between core developers and others... just to take advantage of the Ultra-Cool Moodle Community and to avoid some frustrations...
*[[Roadmap]]

* '''Wiki Alternatives''' - A new wiki module (dfWiki) is becoming stronger. Status of the current eWiki module and future. Requirements, maintainers and future. Keep it simple or fill it of capabilities?

* '''Workshop Module''' - Some discussion about the status of this module and how it should be maintained in the future.

* '''Quiz Module''' - Some discussion about the status of this module and how it should be maintained in the future.
