Starting MoodleDocs in another language

  • Identify at least one person willing to take on the responsibility of site administrator (sysop).
  • Download MediaWiki and install in the required language xx, including configuration of URLs as docs.moodle.org/xx/..

Core documentation

  • Create core category pages, named in language xx, using text from the docs files from the language pack (17 pages).

MoodleDocs initial pages

Start by translating the following, including page names:

Link pages

  • Create a set of link pages, named in English, from a single page listing all the links or from a database dump (80 + pages).

Interwiki linking

Additional notes

  • release and install should remain in language packs for languages awaiting documentation.
  • For all other docs files, redirects should be set up.
  • Translators should be informed that translation of docs files will be stopped in the near future.
  • The Moodle demo site could be used to show docs.moodle.org/xx/.. links when language xx is selected on the home page.
