Course creators shown as participants

"Q: After upgrading, why are all course creators listed in every course?
A: The role of course creator is assigned in the site/system context and so applies site-wide."

By default the course creators don't have any editing rights to the course nor are they enrolled to to them, so this doesn't answer the core of the original question "why are they shown as participants in every course, when they are not?" --Samuli Karevaara 04:00, 30 March 2007 (CDT)

Hi Samuli, as far as I know, when 1.7 was first released course creators had course editing rights by default. This was then changed in 1.7.1+. If course creators without moodle/course:view and moodle/course:update set to allow are still being shown as course participants then this needs reporting/commenting on in the tracker. Thanks :-) --Helen Foster 08:11, 30 March 2007 (CDT)
Update: I've removed the question and bug [https://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-8093 MDL-8093] is now fixed. --Helen Foster 10:47, 30 March 2007 (CDT)
