When I look at this piece of art work the curved lines and warm ans cool colors seem relaxed. It alos has movement that makes it more energetic and active. The sublect matter of this painting is a dancing class just as the tittle says. Some tittles are not as straight forward. The painting is also realistic and uses several elements of art. The first I noticed was color and light. The artist used red and green on the girl in the very frount of the painting to catch you eye then the man in the center of the painting is grey which drew me into the painting. The artist used light to pull your eyeys into the painting even more. The artisit also used very strong lines to guide you eyes into the painting. I really enjoyed this painting because of all the movment. I also liked the small teacher in the middle of the room. He was interesting to look at in the middle of all thoose girls. |
