Yes, the script does require root priviledges. That is included in the description document. Root priviledges are requrired to restart the firewall to set all access. It would be great if users possessed all of the skills to do each of the commands in the script themselves but the goal of this is to help users less familiar with Linux install a Linux distro from scratch using only defaults and get Moodle running in their environment.
