But what about the truly non-standard ones? I mean the ones not available from the download page but that are under discussion in the forums, e.g. flash cards, feedback? Documentation on non-standard modules
How about pages to create documentation for non-standard modules as they are developed. This is always a weakness of non-standard modules, figuring out how they work. Then by time they become standard the documentation is already available. --N Hansen 11:29, 29 January 2006 (WST)
- Yes, we should definitely do as you suggest. Links to pages for documentation on non-standard modules should be added to the Non-standard modules page. --Helen Foster 16:56, 29 January 2006 (WST)
But what about the truly non-standard ones? I mean the ones not available from the download page but that are under discussion in the forums, e.g. flash cards, feedback? Those are the ones that I was thinking of.--N Hansen 10:38, 30 January 2006 (WST)
- Can we have some clarification on this? I was just about to link to the ipodcast module entry but that conflicts with the statement "Non-standard activity modules may be downloaded from Moodle Download: Activity modules."
- Documentation for any code in cvs:moodle/contrib is most welcome, hence the added link on the Non-standard modules page. Thanks :-) --Helen Foster 07:10, 5 February 2006 (WST)
- So if it's not in contrib then it shouldn't be in the wiki? Ta, Darren
- Documentation for any code wherever it is stored is most welcome, ok? The new Database module in Moodle 1.6 will provide a great code repository on moodle.org for both standard and contrib code. --Helen Foster 05:46, 7 February 2006 (WST)
Flash module link
The "flash" link on this page does not link to a page on the Flash module, only to a page on flash filters.--N Hansen 05:33, 13 April 2006 (WST)
- Please feel free to make any improvements/amendments that you notice. Thanks! --Helen Foster 18:49, 13 April 2006 (WST)
Page merge
Perhaps Non-standard modules should be merged into Category:Modules (non-standard). Any comments? --Helen Foster 22:11, 6 July 2006 (WST)
- Update: Non-standard modules content has been copied to Category:Modules (non-standard). Thanks to David Scotson for an interesting discussion on the use of categories and sub-categories :-) --Helen Foster 18:34, 31 July 2006 (WST)
