This page is linked via the main page by administrators>user management>enrol students.  There is nothing here about that.  Is there a linking problem or is the page just incomplete????

Tip #2 about preventing teachers from editing the course's full name, short name, or ID number fields doesn't seem to work in 1.9.2 - I went to Define Roles, edited the Teacher role, and I don't see anything matching those capabilities. Christina Heikkila
:Hi Christina,  Thanks for comment,those instructions needed to be a bit more 1.9ish. I went to demo.moodle.org, logged in as admin and was able to see the things which could be changed. You may notice the faded text below the English permission.  I believe this is the code identifier.  It is an old habit for some people to use that id for example "moodle/course:changefullname" Since the permissions go on for screens, I tend to use a search function (Ctr F in Mozilla Firefox) to find anything on that screen :)   Hope this helps - --[[User:chris collman|chris collman]] 14:31, 3 December 2008 (CST)Chris

Ah - I see now at http://docs.moodle.org/en/Moodle_1.9.3_release_notes that these capabilities are new in 1.9.3, which explains why I don't see them in 1.9.2! Christina

:Chris, regarding using ''moodle/course:changefullname'', I like to do so in the documentation, because the text is the same in every language, so non-English speakers can make use of the English documentation and search the page as you describe.
