Displaying a block to selected users only

Mary, thanks for your text and video explaining how to display a block to selected users only. I'd not thought of your method before!

For interest, my method would be to create a new role, say 'block viewer', with the capability moodle/block:view allowed. Setting a permissions override allowing the new role to view the block is then not necessary. --Helen Foster 09:15, 22 October 2009 (UTC)
