A Description question type simply shows some text or media without requiring an answer. It is more of a label than a question type.

Why use a description question type?

When shuffling questions is turned off, the description question type can provide information to be used by a following group of questions.

Using the Text editor you can embed a video, audio file or links to an external site. This means you can have a quiz where learners must, for example, watch a video and then answer questions on it.
