Glossary tips

I'm not sure if this would be appropriate, but it might be nice to have a section of tips on how a glossary can be used by teachers for things other than simply definitions. For example, I use glossary on my site for book suggestions linked to Amazon.com.--N Hansen 11:29, 29 January 2006 (WST)

I do something similar with links to webpages. I link to specific state regulations in a glossary entry that may appear in the defination or in text that I add at the end "from state regulation 259:12". --Ccollman

Good idea - please go ahead and add add a glossary tips section. --Helen Foster 16:49, 29 January 2006 (WST)

External links to glossary entry

What is the full URL for linking to a specific glossary term? e.g., I want to email someone a link to a glossary entry. James Neill 00:49, 25 February 2009 (CST)

I checked an autolink and it looks to be of the format /mod/glossaryshowentry.php?courseid=*&concept=*+*+etc Worthy of documentation? James Neill 05:31, 25 February 2009 (CST)

Old template Template:Glossaries

New template

Brief, general intro page (appx 100-300 words; 7 - 20 sentences), visuals most welcome.
Point the user to items that can be found on the template menu (box on the right) and what they contain.
Glossary_module - OU, Jun 10, creative uses there, good links, reference to 1.9, need pic/examples, better overview
