Talk:Cohorts

From MoodleDocs

Hi there. Following a forum discussion just now,I thought of adding a "what is the difference between cohorts and groups?" question and answer thing - but I am not sure of the best place or way to put it- should there be a FAQ at the bottom in the "see also"? Or is there a more appropriate solution? Mary Cooch

Hi Mary, how about adding it somewhere e.g. either Cohorts or Groups FAQ would be fine, then it can always be moved to a cohorts FAQ page later if there are lots of questions about the new feature. If people have already been asking lots of questions (sorry I'm a bit behind on reading forum posts so I don't know) please feel free to create a new page Cohorts FAQ ;-) --Helen Foster 12:03, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

I have a question, in the second video a huge list of Contexts is shown. How is it possible to add contexts to this list --Andrea Mauro 15:02, 11 March 2011 (UTC)

Hi Andrea, the list of contexts is basically the list of course categories and subcategories - see http://school.demo.moodle.net/course/ - so you can add contexts to the list by creating new course categories. --Helen Foster 20:34, 9 September 2011 (WST)

Cohorts vs Cohort sync

Just noting that I've moved the info on cohort sync to it's own page Cohort sync so it can be included as an enrolment method and cohorts can remain as a way of grouping users. --Helen Foster 20:34, 9 September 2011 (WST)
